Samsung bosses ditched the latest update for the Galaxy S23 Ultra over concerns it left some users battling blurry pictures.

Since the One UI 6.1.1 update for the phone was release, some users have been experiencing problems with the camera including blurry images and shadows on the lens – and now the tech giant has paused the roll out and is now working on fixing the issues before trying again.

According to Sammobile.com, Samsung is working to fix the issue and will release a new update soon.

The problems do not affect the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus so the updates will continue for those devices. It is likely these models are unaffected because they have a different camera to the Ultra phone.

The news comes shortly after it was revealed the company is planning to go a step further with its next generation of handsets with Samsung working on double-folding phones and rollable devices.

The brand started experimented with the folding form factor in 2019 with the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold, and now the business’ executive Chung Yi has revealed the corporation is developing a “double-foldable” and a device with a rollable screen.

Speaking to Phone Arena, he said: “We are developing various form factor products, such as double-folding multi-foldables and rollables”.

The company has also been working on a Z Fold 6 “Slim”, with a release date set for October.

According to industry insider Ice Universe, the supposed device will feature a 19.5:9 aspect ratio cover display – the same one found on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra – as well as a bigger eight-inch internal screen that would be achieved by removing the S Pen Digitiser.
