The gaming company published the first three titles of the survival horror game but when it comes to a fourth installment, Motive’s Glen Schofield explained that they had tried to get something off the ground but to no avail.
He told Dan Allen Gaming: “EA aren’t interested right now. We tried actually, you know, the three of us. We tried ‘Dead Space 4’. We’re talking this year.
The gaming boss did note that himself and his former colleagues Bret Robbins and animation director Christopher Stone “didn’t go too deep” into the process of potentially starting up another game but ultimately “respect” the decision that it will not be going into development.
“We didn’t go too deep. They just said, no, we’re not interested right now, we appreciate it, blah blah blah, and you know, we know who to talk to, so we didn’t take it any further, and we respected their opinion. They know their numbers and what they have to ship and all that, so…”
