Anne-Marie has spoken about enduring her “hardest year” after the singer’s husband Slowthai was accused of raping two women.
The singer, 33, was left reeling by the accusation Slowthai, 29, whose real name is Tyron Kaymone Frampton, was charged with raping two female fans at a house party after a gig in 2021 – before he and his co-accused Alex Blake-Walker, 27, were then cleared on 16 December of three counts of rape.
Anne-Marie, who was at her partner’s side throughout his trial at Oxford Crown Court, has now uploaded a number of photos to social media, including some alongside her rapper husband and one of her holding their child, in an Instagram post detailing her “hardest” year.
The singer said alongside the snaps: “2024 the most beautiful yet hardest year of our lives. God really tryina see how strong I am hahaha.
“I miss you all and I love you all more than you’ll ever know. I have SO MUCH for you in the new year that you’ll probably be sick of me (please don’t be) have the best break if you can and see you soon.”
Anne-Marie and Slowthai married in Las Vegas in July 2022 and had daughter Seven together in February.
A source told The Sun at the time of their wedding: “Anne-Marie and Slowthai got married in secret two years ago.
“She had an eight-week break from her tour and they went to Las Vegas and got married.”
Anne-Marie did not reveal her pregnancy to her fans, and an insider also told The Sun about the baby’s arrival: “Anne-Marie and Slowthai have had a baby daughter they’ve named Seven.
“It is Anne-Marie’s lucky number and she even has 0707 tattooed on her because she sees them as her angel numbers.
“She was born last month and both of them are absolutely delighted.”
