Pamela Anderson has “saved a lot of time” since going makeup-free in public.
The 57-year-old actress famously started to keep things completely natural when she arrived at Paris Fashion Week bare-faced in late 2023 and admitted that while having a whole beauty entourage was “fun” in the early days of her career, she has decided to keep things more “low-key” these days.
During an appearance on ‘Live with Regis and Kelly’ when asked what it is like to travel without a glam squad, she said: “Oh, I’ve saved a lot of time. I used to say that I spent half my life in a makeup chair!
“I mean, I loved it. It’s fun when you’re new in the business and you get all this attention. But I feel like I’ve done that and I kind of just wanted to simplify and keep it low-key.”
The former ‘Baywatch’ star is now making a film comeback in ‘The Last Showgirl’ and admitted that while she did have a “whole team” around her while shooting, she has enjoyed being able to attend promotional red carpets and pose for magazine covers completely without makeup.
She said: “I feel like I could focus better when I did the film, too. Of course you have … there’s a whole team around you, doing that. But in my personal life, even on red carpets and a couple of magazine covers, I’ve gotten out of wearing makeup and it’s been fun.”
Pamela added that she still enjoys being made up so she can adopt a character on screen and tries to “experiment” within her own life but always goes back to showing off her natural skin.
She said: “I love glamour. I love being elegant, sophisticated. You know, I love that. But I feel like, this is just what works best to me,”.
She added: “I love makeup in a photoshoot or on a movie to play a character. But for me I feel like, even with this HD or different kind of photography, I don’t know if it makes me look better to be full face of makeup. So I’m just experimenting.
“I try a little blush sometimes, a little lip color, you know, sometimes. But then I kind of go back to [natural].”
