Pop veteran Rick Astley has confessed his signature style is a plain black T-shirt – revealing he wears them every day even if he’s onstage performing.

The 58-year-old pop veteran has confessed he wears the same thing every day – opting for a plain £35 top from high street brand Cos when he’s hanging out at home and switching to a £90 luxury version from Sunspel when he’s performing on stage.
When asked which item of clothing he would wear for the rest of his life, Rick told the Sunday Times: “I’m doing a good job of that already!
“I wear black T-shirts pretty much every day. If I’m getting a coffee, cutting up wood in the back garden, watching TV, or going to the studio, then a black T-shirt is it – Cos for everyday, Sunspel for shows.”
Rick went on to admit he’s never been particularly interested in fashion but sometimes tries to wear an eye-catching coloured suit for special occassions.
He added: “I’m 58 now, so I can’t compete with those younger guys in music, but when I’m about to go on stage, I think, sod it, whatever – clothes should be fun, they should be something you enjoy.
“There are times I put on something and go, oh, perhaps I shouldn’t have had that for lunch. I’ve never been a perfect shape and I wasn’t signed because I look great in a suit.
“But I do have some nice suits now, especially colourful ones. I wore a yellow suit a couple of years ago – Kylie [Minogue] was headlining, so I thought, yeah, let’s do it and have a bit of fun. I would never have worn a yellow suit 10 years ago.”
