Kerry Katona planning Thailand move to launch new career

Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona is looking to launch her own wellness retreats and move to Thailand “full time”.

Kerry Katona wants to move to Thailand and run her own retreat weeks.

The former Atomic Kitten recently visited Thailand for a break, and she’s been inspired to look into a career change in the next few years.

Writing in her column for new! magazine, she said: “I’m now working on creating my own relaxation package here at The Beach Samui hotel, where people will be able to book a week-long holiday, curated by me, with experiences such as sound baths and yoga sessions.

“The hotel is opening up a new retreat and my plan is to regularly come over and work on the collaboration.

“My dream, when the kids are older, is to live out here full-time. I’ve been really healthy here – although I did have a Guinness on St Patrick’s Day.”

Kerry – who has five children from her three previous marriages – had gone to Thailand on a “healing journey” following her split from fiance Ryan Mahoney in November 2024.

During her vacation, she “learnt so much” about herself, and came to a welcome realisation about her breakup.

She added: “I’ve had the best time out here. I’ve gone through a real spiritual awakening and have learnt so much about myself.

“It’s made me realise that splitting up with Ryan was the best thing to happen to me.

“I’m over that chapter of my life and when I think about him there is nothing romantic there any more.”

Earlier this month, Kerry admitted she found life without Ryan “lonely”.

She wrote in her column: “I’ve found it really tough the last few weeks since the kids went back to school and college after half-term, I’m still feeling lonely.”

Kerry insisted that she doesn’t want to reunite with Ryan and it is just “difficult” for her to adjust to life as a single person once again, especially because she is “so loving” in the first place.

She added: “I think it’s just tough getting into a routine on your own after being in a relationship for so long, I’m a very loving person so I do find it difficult to adjust. “Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to be with Ryan and would never take him back, but it’s just difficult learning to un-love someone and be on your own.”
