Jason Momoa can’t leave the house without a scrunchie for his lengthy locks.
Jason Momoa “can’t live without” a hair scrunchie.
The ‘Aquaman’ star’s longtime stylist Jen Stanfield has spilled the Hollywood actor’s hair and beauty secrets, including how important it is that the accessory matches his outfits and characters.
Stanfield told WWD: “We can’t live without them! In his everyday life and on set, he loves them in silk and velvet.
“We used rose gold for Arthur Curry in ‘Aquaman 2,’ and we’re going through a lavender and purple phase at the moment. We get all our beautiful silk colours from Blissy, and the deep green velvet one is from his collection with So iLL.”
Momoa only uses sustainable brands, and hydration is a huge part of his skincare routine.
Stanfield said: “Lately, it’s been a customised Minecraft-themed bottle, while we’re on the global press tour promoting the film. Jason’s mission is to eradicate harmful single-use plastics from our planet.”
She said of his commitment to reducing his carbon footprint: “My kit for Jason is a thoughtful extension of his personal values — particularly his dedication to reducing single-use plastic and embracing sustainable, high-quality alternatives both on set and in his everyday life.”
The 45-year-old actor was recently named on the National Geographic 33, a list of 33 individuals who have helped to make the world a better place, and Momoa admitted he was thrilled that his efforts to protect the oceans have been recognised.
Speaking to ‘Extra’ last month, he said: “It’s huge.
“I’ve dedicated my life to anything … that can help with just changing the ocean. So, I mean, my own personal journey is just to eliminate plastic and just try to get it out of the oceans and deep-sea mining.”
Momoa acknowledged that his TV and film career has given him a platform to “make a difference”.
In 2022, he was designated the UN Environment Programme’s Advocate for Life Below Water.
