Technology giant Samsung has teased its new smartphone is “light years ahead” – and it’s out soon.
The Korean company has described its upcoming gadget as “category defining”, and admitted it is “almost here”.
An email to some loyal customers read: “Our brand-new Galaxy smartphone is almost here.
“Our next category defining smartphone. Light years ahead.”
Some technology super-fans believe this could be the launch of a brand-new razor-thin Galaxy S25 Edge.
While Samsung are yet to reveal what their new “category-defining” gadget is, they are encouraging customers to pledge a “refundable £50 deposit” before Friday (09.05.25). –
If customers do this, they will be able to get £100 off when they pre-order the device.
Samsung said: “Pay a refundable £50 deposit by 9th May and get an automatic £100 off when you pre-order.”
It comes as there is also tech speculation that Apple are gearing up for the release of an iPhone 17 Air.
Last month, tech giant Samsung revealed Samsung News, their own news platform, was launching in the UK.
Andrew Bailey, Editor-in-Chief, Samsung News, said at the time: “There’s never been a greater need for accurate, verified, and balanced news that doesn’t live behind a paywall. Our goal with Samsung News is to offer Galaxy users a broad selection of free content from premium partners, including breaking news, deep-dives, and briefings hand-picked by our experienced news editors.
“Users will also be able to customise their feeds by following publishers and topics that interest them, such as Sport, Business and Entertainment. With diverse content from hundreds of sources, we aim to provide all sides of a story.”
