Apple is reportedly introducing new camera controls for AirPods.
The tech giant is said to be preparing for an update for the gadget at WWDC next week, with reports claiming there are plans for a feature that would let users control their iPhone or iPad camera with their AirPods.
According to 9to5Mac, the feature would let you take a photo simply by tapping the stem of your AirPods.
The outlet also reports that Apple is working on a different feature to detect when you fall asleep with your AirPods in.
The device would then automatically be able to pause whatever you were listening too.
However, it’s noted in the report that this could require an Apple Watch, as the latter device is already able to track your sleep.
Other updates could include a head gesture to adjust volume based on Conversation Awareness – which is where AirPods lower your audio while you’re talking to someone – and a ‘studio quality’ mic mode.
The outlet has also reported that Apple wants to allow students to connect their AirPods to shared iPads in a more streamlined way.
