Nothing has announced its Phone (3) will be available for general sale the U.S. via Amazon.
The Nothing Phone (3) will be available in the U.S. through Amazon.
Since its inception in 2020, the London-based tech company had not brought its handhelds like the (3a) and the (3a) Pro to the U.S. market for general sale, and those in the U.S. who wanted a Nothing Phone had to sign up to purchase the product through a beta programme.
However, Nothing has now confirmed its upcoming flagship device, the Nothing Phone (3), will be the business’s first product to be available for general sale in the U.S. via Amazon.
In a statement given to TechCrunch, Nothing CEO Carl Pei said: “We have always said we are building for the long term, and now we’re ready to take that next step in the U.S. Phone (3) is not just another launch. It is a signal of where we are as a company.
“The smartphone market in the U.S. is dominated by two players, but a lot of people are hungry for something different.
“We have already seen strong conversion rates from users switching to Nothing, and with Phone (3), we are going after that opportunity in a much more focused way.
“This is the right product, and the right moment, to start scaling in North America.”
Pei – who co-founded the Chinese phone company OnePlus – is hoping the Nothing Phone (3)’s unique design through the glyph interface will help the model stand out against rival devices from the likes of Apple, Samsung and Google.
Last month, Pei teased Nothing has gone “all-in” with the Phone (3), which is set to release in July.
The Nothing boss said the upcoming device would include “premium materials, major performance upgrades and software that really levels things up”.
