Jax Taylor has revealed that he intends to return to The Valley one day.
Jax Taylor’s exit from The Valley is “just a pause”.
The 46-year-old reality star recently announced that he won’t appear in season three of the show, but Jax insists that he’ll return to The Valley one day.
He said on his In the Mind of Jax Taylor podcast: “Myself, my team [and] the producers got together [and] we decided to take a break from season three. This is not goodbye. This is kind of just a pause on things.
“The more I talked about it with everybody, it just didn’t seem to make a lot of sense for me to walk right back into filming right away.”
Season two of the show explored Jax’s acrimonious split from Brittany Cartwright and the reality star hopes to “heal” during his time off-screen.
Jax said: “We get past a lot of stuff after filming and then we have to relive it again. You know when the show comes on, so that kind of never allows the wound to technically heal because now the scab keeps getting ripped open.”
Jax has been open about his struggles with addiction and mental health issues over recent months. And the reality star is now firmly focused on his recovery, revealing that his drug issues are currently “under control”.
He explained: “Right now, my recovery is very important to me.
“To kind of catch you guys up on things as far as the drugs and the alcohol goes, that’s under control, believe it or not, that it’s all under control. I have no issues with that anymore.”
Jax explained that in the long term, he intends to “fix a lot” in his life.
He shared: “I think everybody’s OK with me stepping away at this time. I hope … they miss me a little bit or I can rekindle somebody’s relationships that I’ve screwed up. That’s kind of where I’m headed. I want to fix a lot.”
Jax announced that he was stepping back from The Valley earlier this month.
The TV star – who has Cruz, four, with Brittany – said: “After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I’ll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley.
“Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and co-parenting.”
