Danielle Fishel has revealed how she’s approaching competing on Dancing with the Stars.
Danielle Fishel is developing some “routines” to cope with the demands of Dancing with the Stars.
The 44-year-old actress is competing on the long-running TV dance show alongside Pasha Pashkov, and Danielle has revealed how she’s approaching the challenge, explaining that she’s incorporating stretching and plunge pools into her daily routine.
She told People: “I definitely am going to have to start routines. I’ve been trying to do them.
“Stretching has become a non-negotiable for me. I have to stretch every single night. I have to stretch every single morning. I’m trying to stay hydrated because it is very hot and we are sweating a lot, so I’m trying to stay hydrated.
“I’m also trying to do some cold plunges when I can. My muscles are very sore right now, so I’m trying to take care of them as best I can.”
Danielle was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2024, and after undergoing treatment, the actress started to look at life in an entirely new way.
She previously told People: “The minute I was done with my cancer treatment, I thought to myself, ‘If this has shown me anything, it has shown me that I am not experiencing enough joy in my life.'”
Danielle is now determined to have more “fun” in her day-to-day life.
The actress – who is best known for playing Topanga Lawrence in Boy Meets World – said: “I’m going through every day, performing tasks and being there for my family and being there for work. Where’s the fun?
“When they asked me to do this, I was like, ‘This is the perfect way to cap it off.'”
Prior to that, Danielle admitted that her cancer diagnosis consumed her entire life at one point in time.
The actress actually found it hard to focus on anything else amid her treatment.
She told People in 2024: “It’s like, ‘Wow. Even for cancer that was found at stage zero, my whole life has changed’.
“My life has become many doctor’s appointments and constantly checking up. And it’ll be monitoring side effects.
“It’s not fun, but it is what it is. And with all that said, I’m very fortunate and I’m going to live, which is the most important thing.”
