Tom Holland suffered a ‘bump’ after pull ring line ‘snapped’

Spider-Man star Tom Holland suffered a “bump” on the head after a pull ring line “snapped” while he was filming a stunt on his latest superhero film.

Tom Holland reportedly suffered a “bump” on the head after a pull ring line “snapped” while he was filming a Spider-Man stunt.

Previous reports suggested the 29-year-old actor was rushed to hospital and diagnosed with a “mild concussion” following a fall on the set of his new movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day at Leavesden Studios in Watford and now more details about the incident have emerged with The Sun newspaper revealing the accident “wasn’t as bad” as previously feared.

A source told the publication’s Bizarre column: “The accident wasn’t as bad as people think. A line snapped on a pull ring and he got a bump on his bonce.

“Filming was supposed to start again in London on Thursday, but for now the production team have been told to stand down for two weeks.

“Tom has been taking it easy as he had a suspected concussion and no one wants him to rush back to set.”

The publication reports the two week delay to the production will not affect the film’s release date, which is still set for July 31 2026.

The accident is believed to have happened on Friday (19.09.25) – a day before Tom was seen supporting his brothers at a charity event in London on Saturday night (20.09.25).

The actor – who runs the Brothers Trust Posh Pub Quiz with his siblings and parents – made an appearance at the event alongside his actress partner Zendaya and hosted the quiz, which raises money for family charity the Brothers Trust.

The organisation was set up in 2017 by the actor and his relatives to bring in funds for good causes.

It’s believed the actor will get back to work on his new Spider-Man movie in two weeks time.

Tom previously teased that Spider-Man: Brand New Day – which will see the return of Zendaya, 29, as Michelle ‘MJ’ Jones-Watson, and Jacob Batalon, 28, as Ned Leeds – would feel like a “breath of fresh air”, like his original 2017 film Spider-Man: Homecoming.

He told Flip Your Wig: “It’s gonna feel like making [Spider-Man: Homecoming] again. It’s been such a long time that I’ve done it that it’s gonna feel like a breath of fresh air. “And I think the fans are gonna be over the moon with what we’re putting together.”
