The Sims Mobile is closing down.
Publisher Electronic Arts has confirmed it will be shutting down the servers for its 2018 mobile game on January 20,2026 after releasing the final update on October 20.
In a blog post, the studio said: “[On October 20] the final update for The Sims Mobile will be available to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
“From this date forward, players will no longer be able to purchase packs or spend real money within TSM. Any existing SimCash, Simoleons, or Tickets can still be used until January 20, 2026.
“In the final update, releasing on October 20th, 2025, everyone will receive unlimited energy to help them make the most of this time.
“This should make it easier to complete projects and enjoy the last few months of play.”
As of October 21, The Sims Mobile has been delisted from Apple’s App Store and the Google PlayStore.
As The Sims Mobile is an online game, players will not be able to play the title after the servers are shuttered.
EA have also confirmed that players will not be able to refund any of their in-game currency.
The Sims Mobile released in March 2018, and had attracted nearly 50 million players and $20 million in revenue by that September.
