Elden Ring: Nightreign to receive DLC The Forsaken Hollows next month

FromSoftware’s Elden Ring: Nightreign expands on December 4 with The Forsaken Hollows DLC, adding new characters, bosses, and regions to the co-op survival spin-off of the acclaimed Souls universe.

FromSoftware has announced The Forsaken Hollows, the first DLC for Elden Ring: Nightreign.

Revealed during Sony’s November State of Play showcase, the upcoming expansion brings fresh content to the co-op action survival spin-off of Elden Ring, which released earlier this year.

The DLC introduces two new playable characters – the Scholar, a tactical spellcaster who gains insight from observing battle, and the Undertaker, an abbess wielding faith and steel to “send enemies to the afterlife”.

Players will also face off against two new bosses in a newly revealed area, Limveld’s Great Hollow, a subterranean expanse filled with cursed crystals, ancient ruins, and a haunting miasma that drains life from anything nearby.

FromSoftware has said the new content builds on the base game’s high-intensity survival loop, which sees up to three players embarking on timed expeditions that culminate in a fight against the Nightlord.

Fans who pre-order The Forsaken Hollows will receive a digital artbook and mini soundtrack, containing concept art, music, and behind-the-scenes notes.

Since its May release, Elden Ring: Nightreign has evolved through multiple updates, adding features like Everdark Sovereigns and the Deep of Night difficulty mode.

The DLC – which launches on December 4, 2025 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC – promises to continue that evolution, expanding the grim, co-op world of Limveld with new challenges and lore.
