Battlefield 6 becomes the best-selling game in franchise’s history

Battlefield 6 has shattered franchise records, becoming the best-selling Battlefield game ever after delivering the strongest U.S. monthly sales the series has seen in years.

Battlefield 6 has officially become the biggest commercial success in the franchise’s history.

New data from Circana reveals that Electronic Arts’ latest entry not only topped October’s sales charts, but also surpassed the lifetime sales of 2016’s Battlefield 1 – the series’ previous all-time bestseller.

The milestone is particularly notable given Battlefield 6 reached this point within a single month following its October 10 release.

Circana reports the shooter delivered the highest U.S. physical and digital dollar sales total in any month over the last three years, a feat not seen since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II in 2022.

The title’s strong debut also propelled it to the best-selling game of 2025 so far, eclipsing major contenders across genres.

October’s charts underline the scale of its performance, as Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Ghost of Yōtei, NBA 2K26, and EA Sports FC 26 completed the top five, but none came close to threatening Battlefield’s lead.

The game also arrived amid a packed release window that included The Outer Worlds 2, Little Nightmares 3, Arc Raiders and Ninja Gaiden 4.

EA has been aggressively expanding Battlefield 6 post-launch, most recently with REDSEC, a free-to-play battle royale mode that went live on October 28.

Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the mode has driven a new wave of player engagement and likely contributed to ongoing sales momentum.
