Millie Bobby Brown had to hide her “wedding hair” while shooting the final season of Stranger Things.
The 21-year-old actress married Jon Bon Jovi’s son Jake Bongiovi in May 2024 and she’s now revealed she was busy working on the new episodes of the Netflix series a week before her big day and the hair and make-up team had to work hard to hide the hair extensions she put in ahead of her wedding.
During an appearance on the Trailer Talk And Tea podcast, she explained: “On this season, I knew I was getting married.
“A week before my wedding, I was filming some of the most important scenes in the show.
“But I needed long hair for my wedding, so I put these extensions in and I knew what I wanted. The poor hair team had to fit it in a bun that made it look small, but actually it was so much hair.
“The way they were able to construct it and braid it was insane.”
The actress – who went on to adopt a baby girl with Jake after their wedding – went on to reveal she is able to look back fondly over the last few seasons of Stranger Things because they remind her of key moments in her life.
She explained: “When I watch back Seasons One and Two, it reminds me of periods of time in my life. For me, Season Two was like, I didn’t understand why boys didn’t like me at that time.
“All the boys were finally talking about girls. But I didn’t know who liked me. Then I started to have crushes.
“Season Three is when I had my first boyfriend. To watch that back reminds me of all the parts of my life that I was so obsessed with.”
The actress has played Eleven in the show since 2016, and Millie previously admitted she’s developed a strong connection to her on-screen character.
She told Extra: “It’s amazing. I mean, it’s been such a wonderful journey. It’s been half my life … I don’t know what my life would be without the show.
“It’s just been it’s been so impactful to me and yeah, it’s very surreal to be here and talking about the last season, but I’m just so blessed and so grateful that I was able to be a part of it.”
Millie added of her character: “She’s just grown up with me. Like, we started this together.
“I developed her and she’s become a part of me, but not through choice. It’s almost like just it’s just inherent because I was so young and so impressionable.
“So, a part of her will always be a part of me. I’m very grateful for that.”
