Treyarch is overhauling Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s Season 1 Battle Pass with faster progression, earlier high-value rewards, and new ways to earn Battle Pass Tokens across all modes.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 studio Treyarch is going to “improve” the game’s Battle Pass.
Ahead of Season 1’s December 4 launch, the developer announced a slate of changes designed to make progression faster, fairer, and more rewarding across multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.
In a post on X, Treyarch said it’s applying “tuning adjustments” based on player feedback from last year’s Black Ops 6.
The company said it was is aiming to make each season’s Battle Pass feel like a better return on players’ time.
Early pages will now require fewer tiers to unlock High-Value Target (HVT) items, meaning premium cosmetics and blueprints appear sooner.
Meanwhile, later pages will pack in more rewards than before, creating what Treyarch describes as a smoother curve from early unlocks to end-of-pass bonuses.
A major upgrade is also coming to how players earn progression currency, as for the first time in the Black Ops series, Battle Pass Tokens can now be earned by completing Daily Challenges – extending to Co-Op Campaign and Endgame modes.
That means players who prefer PvE over Warzone or traditional multiplayer can finally contribute to their seasonal progression without grinding modes they don’t enjoy.
The announcement was met with broadly positive reactions, though fans quickly noted one missing feature: the ability to access Battle Pass content after a season expires.
Treyarch hasn’t addressed that request, at least not yet.
Still, with eight new modes, six new multiplayer maps, fresh weapons, and a redesigned pass system, Treyarch is opening Season 1 by trying to prove it is listening.
