The 38-year-old actor married Keleigh Sperry in 2019 and he has praised the “pure-hearted” model for being a grounding force in his life.
Miles gushed to People magazine: “She’s the best, man. It’s when we said ‘I do’ to each other, we very much envisioned being with each other forever, for eternity.
“She really grounds everything in my life in such a beautiful way. She’s incredibly pure-hearted.”
Miles spent time “observing” the relationship between his grandparents before hie grandad died last December before he started shooting his latest movie Eternity because they had such a “special” bond.
He said: “It was really nice to just observe them. They’re so in love. Oftentimes when people have been married that long when one goes, the other… usually it’s not far behind because it’s like a broken heart kind of thing. So I just think it’s really special.
“I come from a long line of great men, and so I’m proud to represent that.”
Miles previously revealed Keleigh, 33, rejected him three times before agreeing to go on a date with him.
He told E! News: “When I first met her, she turned me down like three times in one night.
“I would say the fact I kept coming back and trying to swoon her, I’ll give myself a pat on the back for that.”
The Gorge star met Keleigh backstage at a party for the Grammy Awards in 2013 but she almost left before he got her contact details and he “got lucky” in the end because he managed to catch her.
He said: “I got lucky the valet line was very long. She was leaving and I had no idea how to contact her or anything. Now look at us 12 years later!”
The Top Gun: Maverick star previously admitted around the time of his engagement to Keleigh – who is also an actress and notably appeared alongside her husband in Taylor Swift’s music video for ‘I Bet You Think About Me’ in 2012 – that the pair of them “just clicked” and he was sure that the relationship was going to be a long-term arrangement.
He told People: “We just clicked. I told my buddy, ‘I think I’m going to be with this girl for a long time.”
