A new single-player Alien game is reportedly back in development, with early details pointing to a stealth-focused survival horror experience set aboard a decaying space station.

According to Insider Gaming, the project is a single-player survival horror game centred on a decaying space station, where players must evade xenomorphs and hostile human forces while managing limited resources.
The tone is said to lean more toward tension and atmosphere than pure action, with gameplay described as blending stealth, exploration, light combat and environmental puzzles.
The supposed game is said to have had a complicated history, as development is understood to have begun as early as 2020 under various internal codenames, before being paused and reassigned multiple times.
Recent internal documentation has suggested the project is now being developed by Eidos-Montréal, the studio behind Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Neither the studio nor its parent company, The Embracer Group, has publicly commented.
Sources have indicated the game features several playable and non-playable characters, including a lead engineer protagonist equipped with traversal tools such as grappling devices and magnetic boots.
One character reportedly references Ripley 8, a clone iteration of the franchise’s iconic heroine from Alien: Resurrection.
Early discussions are said to have taken place about Sigourney Weaver potentially returning to the role for the game, but no casting decisions have been confirmed.
The project is believed to have an early budget of under $75 million and is said to be tentatively targeting a 2028 release on major platforms.
However, the game reportedly remains in early development, and timelines or scope could still change.
If confirmed, the title would join a growing slate of Alien projects across film, television and games, following the success of Alien: Isolation and renewed interest in the franchise.
