Priscilla Presley has opened up about her life with Elvis Presley in her new memoir.
Priscilla Presley thinks Elvis Presley would still be touring if he was alive today.
The King of Rock and Roll – who died on August 16, 1977, at the age of 42 – would have turned 91 this month and his former wife Priscilla believes he would still be working if he was alive now.
She told HELLO! Magazine: “I think he’d be doing the same thing in life – singing and touring. He loved it.”
Priscilla has written a new memoir about her and Elvis and admitted it was tough to relive their “difficult times”.
She said: “It took me a while to finish it up – more than 11 months. You remember a lot of things, and it was a good thing, to be honest. A lot of remembering wonderful times and difficult times – and you’re reliving your life.”
However, Priscilla – who was married to Elvis for six years from 1967 to 1973 – has fond memories of Elvis and remained close to him after their divorce.
She said: “We always remained friendly and would still get together. Of course, we had our daughter [the late Lisa Marie Presley], and I would bring her to see her dad perform and made sure they spent a lot of time together. She’d spent extensive time with him at Graceland.
“We still cared for each other, he [was] fun to be with.”
