Former WWE superstar Braun Strowman, real name Adam Scherr, is launching his own production company and one of the first planned projects is a competition series about miniature models.
Braun Strowman is producing a competition show focused on miniature model making.
The former WWE superstar, whose real name is Adam Scherr, and his producing partner Nick Antonicelli are partnering with Magilla Entertainment – the team behind the likes of Moonshiners and Beachfront Bargain Hunt – to create the Meat Castle Media production company, after the success of his Everything On The Menu show on the USA Network.
The 42-year-old wrestler told The Hollywood Reporter: “Nick and I couldn’t be more excited to re-team with Kevin [Duncan], and work with the amazing folks at Magilla, to build a real force in the TV industry that puts talent, groundbreaking ideas and meaningful partnerships at the forefront.
“Magilla’s track record is second to none and we look forward to working with them to build a great slate of programming.”
Another of the company’s planned projects is Hands On, which will star the former strongman – who has experience as a mechanic and tradesman – trying his hand at a different craft each episode.
Kevin Duncan, Magilla’s chief development officer, previously worked with Strowman on Everything On The Menu, which topped the charts in the US as the highest rated cable entertainment programme in its timeslot for adults 18-49.
Matthew Ostrom and Laura Palumbo Johnson, co-founders of Magilla Entertainment, added in a statement: “Adam’s talent, charisma and creativity have led to great success across multiple areas of entertainment.
“With Meat Castle Media, we’re working with him and Nick to develop a slate of projects that reflect Adam’s interests and values, and also match his larger-than-life presence and personality.
“It’s been an exciting start, and we’re eager to bring these first projects to market.”
Strowman made waves in the early ’10s, including winning the Arnold Strongman Classic in 2012, before joining WWE the following year.
He won both the WWE Universal Championship and Intercontinental Title during his team with the company, which initially ran until 2021 when he was released during the pandemic.
He returned the following year, but his full-time contract was allowed to expire in the summer of 2025.
