Gordon Ramsay is said to have landed another six-part series on Netflix that will centre on him turning 60 later this year.
Gordon Ramsay is set to feature in another Netflix documentary focusing on his 60th birthday celebrations.
The streaming giant has commissioned a six-part follow-up series to Being Gordon Ramsay, which proved hugely successful when it was released in February, that will centre on the celebrity chef reaching the milestone age in November this year.
Netflix chiefs are said to be hopeful of getting music mega star Adele to feature in the series as Gordon is hoping that the Rolling in the Deep singer will perform at his star-studded birthday party.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Being Gordon Ramsay is Netflix’s biggest non-scripted series ever.
“The appetite for a second show was absolutely huge, and when the idea of cataloguing Gordon reaching his landmark 60th was mooted, Netflix obviously jumped at the chance.
“Gordon isn’t slowing down – quite the opposite. He has loads of things in the pipeline and is exploring massive opportunities.
“Cameras will again follow him and his family around, but could feature some of his celeb pals and his 60th knees-up which promises to be very special.
“Obviously the hope is Adele will be singing at the party – Gordon’s wife Tana is a huge fan – and that would be quite the coup.”
Gordon previously revealed how he hoped to get Adele to perform as a part of a joint celebration for both him and Tana, 51.
The Hell’s Kitchen host said of his 60th party plans: “I don’t think we celebrated Tana’s 40th properly so we’d like to do a joint party.
“I mean, she loves Adele and, well, Adele’s a busy lady. She’s amazing.
“I saw her in Vegas when she was playing at the Colosseum and she was a customer of ours at Chelsea.
“She’s an incredibly gracious, talented woman, and a real foodie, which is nice.”
Meanwhile, the chef revealed in Being Gordon Ramsay that he is determined to be as supportive as possible to his six children – Megan, 27, twins Holly and Jack, 26, Tilly, 24, Oscar, seven, and Jesse, two – because of the “torrid relationship” he had with his alcoholic father Gordon.
In the opening episode of Being Gordon Ramsay, he said: “I, sadly, had a torrid relationship with my father. My father called me a snob once. And I said, ‘No, definitely not a snob. I just want to get out of the s*** mess I was born in.'”
