Two years on from her split from Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright has admitted co-parenting with him is still not easy.
Brittany Cartwright has admitted co-parenting with Jax Taylor is “not easy”.
The Valley star has five-year-old Cruz with her estranged husband and two years after they split, she and Jax still have “issues”, though they do their best to keep them away from their little boy.
She told Us Weekly magazine: “Co-parenting is not easy. We still have our issues, but Cruz does not see any of that.
“There’s no toxic anything in front of him, no arguments, nothing like that. Cruz comes first to both of us. I love him, his dad loves him, so he’s always gonna come first, no matter what, and he’s just thriving right now, and I’m so proud of him.”
Brittany’s search for a new partner will be part of the focus of the new season of The Valley and she thinks it is important for a future partner to feel comfortable on camera.
She said: “It’s so much lighter this season. I don’t want to go back into the dark, toxic stuff.
“I think if I’m going to date somebody for real, be in a real relationship, like, this is my life. I signed up for reality TV. I know I’m gonna share my life. I’m an open book, as I always say, and I always try to be super authentic.
“Whoever I date will have to probably pop in and out … but it’s important to me that they would respect that, but I don’t want them to be, like, eager.”
Last year, Britney went under the knife to have new breast implants and a tummy tuck and she admitted her “mommy makeover” has given her back her confidence.
She said: “I feel so amazing. I’m so glad that I did it, you know, kind of just taking my confidence back, taking my body back.
“I’m just so glad that I did it. It was something I wanted to do for a long time, and you have no idea what it actually means to me. I’m sure a lot of moms out there can understand, but yeah, I feel amazing.”
But the 37-year-old beauty dismissed speculation she had had other cosmetic work done.
She said: “I did not get a nose job. I did not get fillers in my face, like everyone thinks. If I did, I would tell you.”
