Phoebe Dynevor has told for the first time how she met her fiancé Cameron Fuller.
The Bridgerton star was at pop-up nightclub Tao at the Sundance Film Festival, where she was riding a “big high” in her career after shooting one of her first-ever films, 2023 motion picture Fair Play, and she happened to come across her now-significant other.
Speaking on The Drew Barrymore Show, she said: “We met at, I don’t think I’ve ever said this publicly before, we met at Sundance Film Festival.
“I did a film called Fair Play and, yeah, I went, went to Sundance, and it was a big high in my career, it was like one of the first movies I’d done and it was getting all this, you know, hype so it was a, I was in my, you know, feeling good, and there he was.
“Well, it was at Tao, the pop-up… but this was just the club. This was the club. We were at the club.”
Following Phoebe’s romantic story, actress Drew has renewed hope that relationships can still be founded in nightclubs.
She added: “By the way, this is so hopeful. Maybe we can actually go out and find people.”
Phoebe added: “You can meet someone at a club.”
Fair Play premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2023, and less than 18 months later Phoebe and Cameron got engaged in May 2024.
The couple haven’t spoken about their marriage plans in public, but Phoebe’s actress sister Hattie Dynevor revealed last year that her sibling was just “enjoying her engagement” and “hasn’t even thought about” her wedding.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper in February 2025, Waterloo Road star Hattie said: “I’m not sure when she’s getting married. I think they’re just enjoying the engagement at the moment … She’s not even thought about [the wedding] yet. She’s not even started thinking about anything yet.”
When asked if she will be a bridesmaid, Hattie replied: “She’s hasn’t asked me yet, but I hope so.”
Hattie also shared further detail about the couple’s engagement, revealing Cameron – son of Hollywood producer Brad Fuller – popped the question during a break in the English countryside in the Cotswolds surrounded by her family, and the proposal left Phoebe in floods of tears.
