Reality TV star Katie Price has told fans how her stress levels are “off the key”, amid the disappearance of her husband Lee Andrews, but she insisted CBD oil has been helping her anxiety with “everything going on at the moment” in her life.
Katie Price’s stress levels are “off the key”, amid the disappearance of her husband Lee Andrews.
The 48-year-old star took to social media to encourage her fans to try CBD oil to help them sleep amid the searing heat in the UK, and the star admitted she has been taking the hemp-derived product for her anxiety with “everything going on at the moment” in her life.
Katie’s post comes just days after she recently filed a missing person’s report with authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after her husband Lee – who she married in January shortly after meeting for the first time – failed to board a flight to the UK, and allegedly told her he had been kidnapped.
In a new video message on Instagram, Katie said: “I know I’m like everyone else. Look at me, I look like a grease sport.
“It is so hot out there. I don’t know if anyone’s struggling to sleep at night.
“But if I didn’t take my CBD I wouldn’t be able to fall asleep, because it’s so hot.
“But anyone who is hot I would take this because this definitely gets you to sleep.
“But I take it for my anxiety.
“Stress levels are off the key at the moment.
“But, yeah, CBD, I recommend for everyone, even in this hot weather if you can’t sleep. (sic)”
Katie described herself as looking like a “beasted turkey” while caked in oil, but admitted it had helped her to sleep this week.
She captioned her ad: “It’s sooo hot outside [sun emoji] when the weather is like this I find it so hard to stay asleep through the night, I know a lot of people are the same! I took my oil last night before bed and slept through for 8 hours no waking up and as you all know it has been helping my anxiety too with everything going on at the moment, thank you for all of the messages (sic)”
Katie also claimed CBD oil can help people who have “anxiety, insomnia, aches or pains”.
Last week, Katie dismissed claims made by her husband’s dad Peter that he had spoken to Lee and he was being held by authorities in Dubai.
Peter told the Daily Mail: “Lee is OK. He has not been kidnapped but he is under arrest. I don’t know on what charge.
“I’m not sure where he is being held. But he will call me later today. He is not at my house.”
However, hours later Katie disputed Peter’s statement, insisting Lee was “still missing”.
She fumed on social media: “This is fake news.
“Lee is still missing. Me and his family know what’s going on and working with the authorities involved.”
Katie had previously expressed fears that had been “kidnapped”, but suggested last week on her podcast that she had given up searching for her spouse to preserve her “own sanity”.
She said on her Katie Price Show Podcast: “I’m taking a step back, for my own sanity.
“There’s only one person I need to look after and that is myself. I’ve still got to work, there’s exciting things coming up, but for my sanity… I don’t know what’s true, what’s not true. I’m like that now, I don’t know.
“Like I said, my tentacles are up now, my antennas are up and I’ve decided to take a step back from everything, assess everything my way, and just continue with my life, and what will be will be.”
