Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian has revealed her new perfume XO Blue is inspired by her favourite luxury holiday destinations – the islands of Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas.

The reality TV star has launched her third scent which is packed with tropical notes of lychee, bergamot, dewy magnolia and coconut – and Khloe has revealed she wanted the scent to transport her to the beautiful beaches on the islands of Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas.
She told WWD: “Turks and the Bahamas are so beautiful. It’s white sand, it’s the Turks turquoise water. It’s absolutely beautiful. It’s what I envision when I wear this.”
XO Blue comes after the release of her first scent XO and her second addition Almost Always, and Khloe went on to explain she decided to keep the perfume’s bottle and name simple while embracing summery vibes.
She added: “Having the bottle be blue was a nonnegotiable,” Kardashian said. “We also tried to come up with all these creative, clever names, and I was like: ‘No, let’s do XO Blue.’
“The fragrance is so transportive, so vacation, so tropical, in my opinion. It all made sense.”
The Kardashians star confessed she rarely tries new perfumes but having her own line has pushed her to experiment more. She also revealed putting on a new fragrance can help her feel like a different person.
She told the publication: ““I love that when you wear new scents, you feel new about yourself, you exude or evoke a different personality. You channel somebody else.”
Khloe went on to tease she’s already working on another new perfume and she’s determined to do something very different for her fourth scent.
She said: “I’m excited to push myself in a way that I haven’t before, and I’m excited for the next – hopefully the next – one to have a different bottle and just do more. I really want to switch it up completely.”
Khloe current business venture follows previous forays into the fragrance world and she previously revealed she now has more control than when she was working on her previous efforts, KKW Beauty Pink Diamond and KKW Beauty Sapphire Diamond, which were created in collaboration with her sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, and Unbreakable Bond, her venture with then-husband Lamar Odom.
She told Harper’s Bazaar.com: “I love and I stand by all those fragrances, but this is my first scent that I’m doing individually. So I’ve done all these other scents with either my sisters or my ex-husband.
“A lot of them, like Unbreakable, was led more by Lamar; it was so much more his passion. And so I believed in it. I would, of course, sign off on it, but I sort of let him steer that a little bit more.
“And then, with my sisters, it would be under KKW. And so Kim would pick her main scent, and then Kourt and I would pick our own scents, but they had to be in that same world. I get to do all of this on my own.”
Reality star explained how XO Khloe smells very different to her previous fragrances as a result. She continued: “This has rose petals and orange blossom. And there’s moss and woods – like, woodsy elements – which I wouldn’t think I would love with this, but it’s needed.
“Those are in the bottom notes. But the woods are needed to balance everything out, or else it’s a very sweet fragrance, which nobody wants too much of. There’s sage blossom.
“There’s not a lot of white florals in this. Typically, the other fragrances – I don’t know so much about Unbreakable Bond, I can’t remember, but with the ones with my sisters, there were a lot more white-floral elements.”
