Lando Norris’ ‘surreal’ reaction as his first-ever Madame Tussauds figure takes pole position

Formula 1 star Lando Norris found it “surreal” coming face-to-face with his first-ever Madame Tussauds figure, who wears his McLaren papaya race suit, after he donated the item to the attraction to help make his figure to feel “as realistic as possible”.

Lando Norris found it “surreal” coming face-to-face with his first-ever Madame Tussauds figure.

The Formula 1 star was happy to donate a McLaren papaya race suit to Madame Tussauds London to help make his figure look “as realistic as possible” – and he is delighted with the results.

Lando said: “Seeing the figure finished and standing next to it is pretty surreal – it really is like looking at another version of me.

“I’m used to seeing myself in photos, videos or a reflection, but this is me in 3D.

“The artists have really nailed the details; it’s so lifelike.

“I also wanted to donate one of my race suits so fans can see up close something I actually wear when I’m racing and help make the figure feel as realistic as possible.”

Lando’s figure will be at Madame Tussauds London from June 30th – alongside fellow F1 star Lewis Hamilton – and the reigning Formula 1 World Drivers’ Champion “can’t wait” for fans to visit his replica.

He added: “I can’t wait for everyone to come and see it in London this summer, and I hope everyone has fun visiting.”

Norris recently came face-to-face with his figure, marking the culmination of the months-long process with Madame Tussauds London’s expert artists, who worked at full throttle to capture the star’s infectious energy in painstaking detail.

As well as the iconic McLaren papaya race suit, Lando’s figure is also donning his race boots, alongside a replica of the helmet he wore during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December 2025, where a podium finish secured his first World Drivers’ Championship title.

Steve Blackburn, General Manager at Madame Tussauds London, said: “It’s amazing to finally reveal Lando Norris’s figure to the public, and we’re sure fans are going to love it.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Lando for donating key race suit items – it really brings the figure to life.

“We can’t wait to welcome fans to strike a winning pose alongside Lando throughout the summer.”

Lando Norris’ new figure will feature in Madame Tussauds London’s Culture Capital zone, alongside England captain Harry Kane – who is also new for summer 2026 – and a star-studded line-up of sporting superstars including Cristiano Ronaldo, Mo Salah, Mary Earps, Anthony Joshua and Kylian Mbappé.

Madame Tussauds London is also offering fans the chance to win a signed LN4 Grandstand Dad Cap.

To be in with a chance of winning, guests will need to visit Madame Tussauds London between Tuesday 30 June and Sunday 19 July 2026 and scan the QR code near Lando’s figure. T Cs apply.
