Meta unveils Kylie Jenner smart glasses

Meta has launched a new range of AI-powered smart glasses, including a premium model developed in partnership with Kylie Jenner.

Meta has unveiled a new collection of smart glasses, including a premium edition created in collaboration with Kylie Jenner.

The technology giant’s latest wearable range features 26 frame styles and eight colour options, expanding its push into AI-powered consumer hardware.

Among the new designs are the rectangular Meta Adventurer, the squared Meta Fury and Meta Glasses by Kylie, a slim oval-shaped model featuring personalised audio from the reality star and entrepreneur.

While the glasses are not branded as Ray-Bans, they are manufactured by eyewear company EssilorLuxottica, which owns both the Ray-Ban and Oakley brands.

Like Meta’s existing smart glasses, the devices feature built-in cameras, microphones and an artificial intelligence assistant, but do not include a display.

Users can take photos and videos, make phone calls and ask questions about their surroundings using voice commands.

The latest generation also introduces pedestrian navigation, providing audio-based turn-by-turn directions without requiring users to look at a smartphone.

Another new feature, called Dynamic Photos, captures multiple images simultaneously and recommends the best shot automatically.

Meta said the glasses are powered by Muse Spark, its latest AI model.

According to the company, the system delivers “smarter answers, better visual understanding, and proactive assistance throughout the day”.

The launch comes just days after Snap revealed its newest generation of augmented reality spectacles, highlighting growing competition in the smart eyewear market.

Meta has also emphasised privacy and security protections.

Each pair includes a visible LED light that illuminates when recording is taking place, helping alert people nearby that a camera is active.

The devices also feature what Meta describes as “hardware-level recording blocks” to prevent unauthorised filming, alongside advanced tamper-detection technology.

Users can choose from multiple frame sizes and prescription lens options.

The glasses continue Meta’s strategy of integrating artificial intelligence into everyday consumer products while expanding beyond social media and software services.

Smart glasses are increasingly viewed by technology companies as a potential successor to smartphones, with firms racing to create wearable devices capable of delivering AI-powered assistance throughout the day.

Meta’s new range starts at £269 in the UK and $299 in the United States, making the devices among the most affordable AI-powered smart glasses currently available on the market.
