A Barry White tribute band are set to play at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding celebrations.
The couple are set to wed at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Friday (03.07.26) and as their 1,000 guests have begun to assemble at the venue, the group of musicians were seen entering the building hours before the festivities are due to start.
Pictures obtained by the New York Post newspaper’s Page Six showed the band members were seen in their suits and bow ties, while the frontman for the band wore a navy suit and a flower brooch.
Last week, the outlet also reported that Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw are set to perform at the wedding.
So far, guests seen heading to the wedding have included Benson Boone, Dakota Johnson, Gigi Hadid and her boyfriend Bradley Cooper, New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel and his wife Jen, Eric Stonestreet, Travis’ former Kansas City Chiefs teammate Kareem Hunt, and Taylor’s publicist Tree Payne.
Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran hinted she was off to the wedding in an Instagram video.
Wearing a white hotel robe and clutching a glass of champagne, she said: “I’m getting ready for a very special wedding. Such a love story, and the groom is such a hunk. I can’t wait to get there and I’m so happy for them.”
The 77-year-old star captioned the post: “Rose garden, champagne, a love story like this? I’m in.”
Fans have also been waiting outside the venue hoping to catch a glimpse of the happy couple, passing the time by singing Taylor songs including Love Story.
New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani has joked about the wedding, when a reporter asked about the rumours during a press conference about a heat wave.
Mamdani, 34, replied: “My recommendation to all New Yorkers is to stay inside and stay cool. And if you happen to be getting married at Madison Square Garden, you will be staying inside and you will be staying cool. And I think it’s a good example to set for the city at large.”
Mamdani also discussed Taylor and Travis’ wedding while talking about preparations for the soccer World Cup.
The mayor – who is a huge soccer fan – said at the time: “We are the biggest city in the country. We are used to big events, and we are incredibly excited for this one.
“We know it coincides with the Knicks’ Finals run. We know it coincides with July 4, America 250, Taylor Swift’s wedding — all happening at the same time —and we are so excited to welcome the world here.”
