Hilary Duff is ‘obsessed’ with salmon sperm facials

Hilary Duff has been dishing her skincare routine secrets.

Hilary Duff is “obsessed” with salmon sperm facials in her skincare routine.

The 38-year-old star has insisted she doesn’t shy away from certain treatments, and she’s even got her husband Mathew Koma on board with her skincare approach.

She told PEOPLE magazine: “I do all the things. I love Botox. I’m obsessed with microneedling and salmon sperm [facials].

“It [salmon sperm] works so well. I’m making my husband do it. He’s obsessed. He loves it.”

The Lizzie McGuire star, who rose to fame on the Disney Channel sitcom, opened up on how her beauty regime has changed since becoming a mother.

She and Mathew have daughters Banks, seven, Mae, five, and Townes, two, together, while she also has 14-year-old son Luca with her ex-husband Mike Comrie.

Hilary said: “I used to spend hours getting ready. We [moms] have four minutes to get ourselves together. My kids come first.

“I feel much better about myself when I use the few tried-and-true products that I know work. I’m also a huge water drinker.

“I put tons of powders in my drinks. I try to do it from the inside out. And I love brands being transparent about what they’re putting in their products.”

Hilary has teamed up with Bath and Body Works, joining the brand as an ambassador, as well as serving as a creative partner for the Fruit Fusion campaign.

The new range, which includes four new fragrances – Watermelon Whirl, Berry Bliss, Tangerine Twirl and Banana Blend – features body care, lip oil, perfume mists, hand sanitisers and accessories.

Hilary added: “This brand has been a part of my life since before I can remember. It was the first store where I got to form my identity in a beauty space and start to not buy what my mom had been buying me.

“But also, the new and improved ingredients and packaging are just very joyful and fun and resonate with exactly what I’m doing right now in my own life.

“I’m in my bright, happy phase, and these products and the scents really speak to that.”

Earlier this year, the singer and actress opened up on her favourite hobby to wind down after a gig.

Asked what is “cool” to her, Hilary told i-D magazine: “An early bedtime and a great night’s sleep. Or a facial.

“I’ve started crocheting too.

“After the show last night, my body was telling me I had to do something with my hands, so I did that. So far, I’ve made a hat and a scarf.”
