Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding ‘wasn’t like a typical Hollywood party’

A source has shared new details about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding in New York.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding guests created an “electric energy” inside Madison Square Garden.

The loved-up couple tied the knot in New York City over the weekend, and their star-studded guest list – which included the likes of Gigi Hadid, Emma Stone, Tom Hanks, Ed Sheeran, Tom Brady, Selena Gomez, Sabrina Carpenter, and Patrick Mahomes – combined to create an unforgettable atmosphere inside the world-famous indoor arena.

A friend of the couple explained to People: “Everywhere you looked, there were stars, one more famous than the next. But it wasn’t like a typical Hollywood party — everyone was so down-to-earth.

“Stars talked to family friends and were gawking just as much about the vibe and saying how happy they were to be there. There was an electric energy in the room.”

Taylor, 36, and Travis are now expected to attend the wedding of NFL star JuJu Smith-Schuster in California on July 11.

The happy couple – who announced their engagement last year – are planning to spend some quality time together over the next few weeks, before Travis begins preparations in earnest for the start of the new NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs.

A source shared: “They’re really excited to enjoy a few weeks of newlywed life before football season gets going again.”

Travis began dating Taylor in 2023, and Patrick Mahomes – Travis’ teammate at the Chiefs – subsequently claimed that the singer has helped to make the NFL franchise a “worldwide team”.

Patrick told Time magazine: “[The Chiefs] went from a nationwide team that was kind of global to a full global worldwide team. That came from Taylor’s fanbase.”

Patrick also admitted to being impressed by Taylor’s work ethic.

The quarterback – who is widely regarded as one of the best players in the NFL – said: “I’ve met a lot of famous people now in my life. Taylor’s probably the most down-to-earth person that’s been on that stage for that long.

“She’s never not working. Even when she’s taking her downtime, she’s working on something. Shooting a music video or singing a song or writing a song. You can see it by how she talks.”
