Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding guest slams rumours of ‘chaotic’ ceremony

Tavia Hunt – the wife of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt – has rubbished “hearsay” about a lack of champagne and long queues for buffet food at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.

A guest at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding has rubbished rumours that the ceremony was “chaotic”.

Tavia Hunt, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, attended the pop star and Chiefs tight end’s nuptials at Madison Square Garden on Friday (03.07.26) and has slammed “false narratives” that the venue ran out of champagne and that guests had to wait in lengthy queues for food.

Responding to a video detailing the apparent problems at the ceremony, Tavia commented on Instagram: “This is such a false narrative.

“They did not run out of champagne. There were not long lines. Every single person was seated for the ceremony.”

Hunt added that the ceremony – which was officiated by actor and comedian Adam Sandler – and vows were “spectacular”.

She said: “(It was) beautiful, heartfelt, and absolutely perfect. It could not have been a more fabulous experience.

“And frankly, it is inappropriate to say things like this when you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. That is hearsay – not truth.”

Tavia commented under a video in which podcast host Zack Peter read out a report suggesting that the much-anticipated wedding ceremony didn’t go as smoothly as hoped.

Peter said in the video: “Apparently some of the wedding guests were not happy.

“(One outlet) writes, ‘The event was meant to be a magical celebration, Taylor Swift’s love story… but guests have been complaining post-event about how tacky and chaotic scenes inside were, which saw the champagne running dry really early and long queues for buffet food.”

Meanwhile, BBC Radio 1 broadcaster Greg James said that attending Taylor and Travis’ wedding with his wife Bella Mackie felt like an “amazingly strange but exciting dream”.

The 40-year-old presenter – who received an invite to the ceremony when he interviewed The Fate of Ophelia hitmaker last year – said on Wednesday’s (08.07.26) breakfast show: “It was unbelievably fun.

“I didn’t tell any of my friends, I could (only) tell Bella as she was invited as well.

“I couldn’t even tell my boss, I just took annual leave.”

James also provided his listeners with an insight into how star-studded the ceremony was.

He explained: “Every 10 seconds it was a room full of the most famous people in the world.

“I just couldn’t believe it. It was like going to Madame Tussauds but the wax was animated and you could interact with the wax and it talked back to you, it was absolutely mad.”
