Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were seen for the first time since they got married at the wedding of JuJu Smith-Schuster and Laura Kruk.
Taylor Swift showed off her wedding ring as she appeared in public for the first time since she and Travis Kelce tied the knot.
The Opalite singer married the Kansas City Chiefs tight end in a star-studded celebration at New York’s Madison Square Garden on 3 July, and exactly a week later on Friday (10.07.26), the newlyweds stepped out to attend the NFL player’s former teammate JuJu Smith-Schuster’s wedding to Laura Kruk.
Photos from the event at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Orange County, Californiashowed Taylor wore a strapless pink floral ballgown by Markarian – which retails at $4,115 – while her new husband sported a charcoal grey suit. They both wore sunglasses as they held hands walking through the grounds of the hotel, with their new jewellery on display.
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed the couple paid more than $160,000 for a permit to get married at MSG because of the significant increased police presence required in the area, as well as a number of local road closures.
In a press conference on Friday, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani confirmed that the newlyweds had paid for the police overtime.
He said: “Taylor Swift will be paying … has paid already the cost of the permit that was lodged, which was over $160,000 for that event and for the response to that event.
“That was a permit that was finalised, I think, in just the days before the event itself.”
It has been estimated the whole wedding, which was attended by 1,000 guests, cost around $20-$30 million.
Esther Lee, editorial director at The Knot Worldwide, told New York Post column Page Six: “While the average American wedding sits at $34,000, according to The Knot Real Weddings Study, this production would’ve operated on a completely different scale …
“We estimate the decor and florals to be, at minimum, $5 million. Not to forget that custom draping and carpet installation had to transform the space entirely.”
Lee also estimated catering, service and logistics costs would have come to between $2.5 million and $3 million with the bride and groom’s outfits and the entertainment adding another $2 million to the already hefty bill.
She believes planning would have taken months and they would have needed at least six consultation meetings, adding: “Top designers do not just pick a generic theme. Instead, they start with spatial design and figure out how to make a cavernous space feel intimate.”
