In a video on Instagram on Saturday (01.08.26), the mum-of-three revealed she had successfully undergone the operation, but broke down in tears as she admitted she was finding it difficult coping with the levels of pain following the surgery.
She said: “I told you guys in general, I’m not good with pain. And I’ve really been trying to be tough, but it’s not great.”
“But I’m doing my best, and I’m trying to stay optimistic.”
Snooki showed herself in the hospital bed as she lay with a heating pad on her stomach and a fan aimed on her, as she said she was hoping to get some sleep on what would be her first night in the hospital.
The 38-year-old admitted she became so overwhelmed just before going into surgery that she started “hysterically bawling” at the thought of what was happening.
However, she credited the nurses and doctors for being “great” and helping her get through it.
Snooki’s competitive nature came out as well when she was with the anaesthetist, as she boasted that she managed to count to ten before the anaesthetic knocked her out – while most people only get to three.
The reality star added that a bonus of the op was that the surgeon was able to knit her abdominal muscles back together, after three pregnancies and childbirth ended up splitting them apart.
The surgeon also left her ovaries, meaning that Snooki won’t start the menopause at this stage.
Snooki added: “I’m being very vulnerable here. But I feel like in this journey, I’ve been very vulnerable in general. So, I just want to keep it going.
“Because, you know, it’s a scary thing. And a lot of us women deal with it. And no one really talks about it.
“So, I’m here to give that platform for all of us ladies.”
The screen star added: “Now it’s over, and I just have to deal with the pain.
“It’s just like any surgery – you have pain and you’ve got to manage it.
“Get the pain meds. And, you know, in a couple days, you’re going to feel brand spanking new.”
Snooki concluded: “I love you. Thanks for being here. And get your pap smears, okay?”
She captioned her video: “We did it Joe. Hysterectomy [tick emoji].”
The comments section of Snooki’s video was quickly flooded with messages of support, with some coming from her famous friends including singer Meghan Trainor, who wrote: “You are a supermom.”
