The 43-year-old actor has admitted to being “addicted” to the photo-sharing platform – even though he doesn’t have a public-facing account.
The Hollywood star told Variety: “I’m as addicted as anybody. My screen time notifications are horrific to me. It’s like, I’ve given all of those hours to nothing.
“It’s genuinely enraging because we don’t have as much control over these impulses as we should, and it’s been by design. It’s pretty dark when you look at it.”
Andrew explained that he explores “weird ceramics” and “lots of Japanese kind of craftspeople” through Instagram.
The actor also admitted that he’d love to escape the spotlight, in spite of his success.
Asked if he’s thought about leaving his acting career “behind”, Andrew replied: “All the time.
“I’ve worked a lot this year. I’ve done like 11 months, 12 months, straight back-to-back projects. I want people to see those projects, so I’m gonna have to tell people about them. I get that.
“But if I had my druthers, people would just see them, and I could go whittle wood in the Somerset countryside and think about what the birds might be doing.”
Meanwhile, Andrew starred alongside Florence Pugh in We Live in Time, the romantic drama film, in 2024, and the actor previously admitted that he initially felt “really scared” about working with the actress.
He told People: “I was really scared. I think we were both really scared and nervous because it takes a while to get to know someone.
“There’s layers there. There’s defences there.”
Despite his fame and success, Andrew admitted to being “quite shy and quite protective”, meaning that it takes him a long time to feel comfortable around new people.
The film star – who is dating actress Monica Barbaro – said: “I am someone, who on first meeting someone, I can be quite shy and quite protective and it takes me a while to really let someone know me. But then, when they’re in, there’s no getting out.”
