Bunnie XO lived on baby food ‘to get by’ after Jelly Roll split: ‘I lost 20lbs’

Podcaster Bunnie XO has told how she lost 20lbs after eating baby food “to get by” following her split from Jelly Roll, and she admitted heartbreak is the “best freaking diet”.

Bunnie XO lost 20lbs after eating baby food “to get by” following her split from Jelly Roll.

The former couple reached a divorce settlement in July, just months after going their separate ways, and the 46-year-old podcaster has now admitted heartbreak has been the “best freaking diet”.

Speaking on the Open Book With Jenna Bush Hager podcast, she said: “There were moments when my team had to pick me up off the floor and give me IVs.

“I was eating baby food to get by. I lost 20 pounds.

“Heartbreak, man, it’s the best freaking diet.”

“That’s all you can do. When life hands you lemons, make freaking lemonade.”

Bunnie – whose real name is Alisa DeFord – previously released an episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast in which she told how the split had affected her, but she has since deleted it.

The star couldn’t bear to see the episode online every time she went onto her YouTube channel.

She added: “Yeah, it hurt. And I talked about it and I let viewers in and I let them know on my podcast.

“I said what I needed to say. I made a s***load off of it.

“If I was gonna do it for money, I would’ve left it up. Every time I went to my YouTube, I didn’t want to see that.

“And I also don’t want to be the freaking poster child for divorce.

“There’s nothing hot about that. It’s a very devastating situation that anybody ever has to go through. Families get broken up. Hearts get broken. So it’s time to move on.”

In July, Bunnie told how she had made almost £75,000 from the podcast episode, in which she discussed her split from the 41-year-old country music star.

She said on her podcast: “I took it down because I realised I just don’t want one of the hardest moments of my life to become a permanent headline. I don’t want to live in that.

“I believe in being transparent with you guys and that’s never, ever, ever going to change, but I also believe that people deserve the space to heal, to evolve and to move forward.

“That episode served a purpose for me at that time and it was real. It was honest and it came from exactly where I was emotionally in that moment. But I’m not in that same place anymore.

“There is so much behind the scenes that I have not spoken on and that I will never speak on because it doesn’t matter.

“I will only tell you guys my part in the demise of my marriage.”
