Graham Norton: No NDAs at Taylor Swift and travis Kelce’s wedding

Graham Norton has denied guests at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding had to sign non-disclosure agreements and he didn’t think their request for no phones was particularly unusual.

Graham Norton has denied guests at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding had to sign non-disclosure agreements.

The 63-year-old presenter was “so surprised” when the pop megastar invited him to her nuptials during an appearance on his talk show – which led to Graham and fellow guests Cillian Murphy, Jodie Turner-Smith, Domhnall Gleeson, Greta Lee and Lewis Capaldi starring in the Opalite video – and didn’t realise he’d be at the “whole thing”.

Graham confirmed he didn’t have to sign a written contract to say he wouldn’t speak about the events that took place during the couple’s celebrations at Madison Square Garden in New York in July and didn’t see anything wrong with guests being asked not to take pictures on their mobile phones because he imposed a similar rule when he wed Jono McLeod in 2022.

He told The Times newspaper: “I was so surprised when Taylor Swift invited me to her wedding on my show. Because I shouldn’t be at Taylor Swift’s wedding, but it was lovely that I was.

“At first I thought it would just be an invitation to the afterparty, but no, we were at the whole thing. It was all about their love story.

“I didn’t have to sign an NDA, but there’s a tacit agreement that you won’t dish all the details of the day.

“There were no phones, but I had a wedding party with only 120 people and there were no phones either.”

During her appearance on Graham’s show last October, Taylor admitted she was excited to be planning her wedding.

She said: “I know it’s going to be fun to plan because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount, and people are on the bubble, and you have to evaluate or assess your relationship with them to see if they should be there. I’m not gonna do that.”

The Fate of Ophelia singer also told Graham he would “know” when the wedding was taking place because she intended to invite him.

And she admitted Travis had “crushed” it when it came to pulling off his surprise proposal.

She said: “He really crushed it in surprising me. While we were talking on his podcast, he had a complete garden built out the back of his house to propose in. He went all out – 10 out of 10.”
