Kristen Bell is mother to 13-year-old Lincoln and 11-year-old Delta with husband Dax Shepard, and opened up to People about how she and her girls share a lot of their lives – but not when it comes to their wardrobe choices.
Kristen Bell never has to worry about her daughters stealing bits from her closet, because they “don’t love” the way she dresses.
The Nobody Wants This star is mother to 13-year-old Lincoln and 11-year-old Delta with husband Dax Shepard, and opened up to People about how she and her girls share a lot of their lives – but not when it comes to their wardrobe choices.
She said: “I know all the pimple patches are kept in their bedroom, so when I need them, I go in there. We do share all the same hair care stuff, like our brushes and our shampoos.
“Every now and again, I will find something removed from my closet, like a shirt I love or a belt, but for the most part, I don’t think they love the way that I dress if I’m being brutally honest.
She added: “Sometimes a cosy sweater will be missing, but overall, they’re never, like, ‘Great fit, mom.’”
Kristen’s admission about her girls comes after she previously spoke to People about her parenting approach, revealing that she and Dax have a strict rule that anyone who argues in their house has to make up where the others can see them.
She said: “We always make up in front of them if anyone gets snarky or frustrated or fights, which we all do.
“We do not have the makeup, our conflict resolution, be behind closed doors. Even if at dinner, let’s say, one of us is frustrated and is a little snarky and then we go to bed.
“We’ll apologise to each other the next morning. Then we will apologise and make amends to each other in front of the kids so that they can see how conflict resolution actually happens.”
Meanwhile, Dax told Luxury London previously that becoming a dad has had a dramatic impact on his mental health.
He said: “For me, personally, it’s helped me get over things that would have normally made me depressed.
“If I’d been working on a movie for two years and it didn’t perform well, I would be miserable for months. But now I think my kids have no idea I’m in a movie, they don’t care. They need to be fed and taken on a walk and have a bath.
“My primary identity now is ‘dad’, as opposed to ‘writer’ or ‘director’ or whatever. It’s been incredibly liberating.”
