Mikey Madison dreams of getting married.

The Oscar-winning Anora actress, 27, keeps her personal life private but she has confessed she’s starting to think more about her future after seeing her sisters and her friends settle down because she’s always wanted a “white-picket-fence situation”.

She told Vogue magazine: “I have always dreamed of getting married and that kind of white-picket-fence situation.

“My sisters have it and my friends are getting married and thinking about having kids. It definitely makes me think about that a lot.”

Mikey – who is believed to be single – revealed she’s happiest at home surrounded by animals, which include two donkeys, three Chihuahuas and a cat. She also told the publication she’s taking up gardening and spends a lot of time tending to succulents in her garden but she’s planning to expand into growing more vegetables and herbs.

The actress previously admitted was was overwhelmed by the attention after her 2024 film Anora was released – before she went on to win the Best Actress Academy award for her role in the movie – with Mikey revealing a number of her former friends and ex-boyfriends suddenly got back in touch with her after seeing all the publicity.

She told the Los Angeles Times newspaper: “I think some of it doesn’t seem super genuine. Like old friends coming out of the woodwork.

“Ex-boyfriends reaching out to me: ‘Hey, wanna grab a coffee or something.’ Why? Because you’ve seen me on billboards?”

Mikey has also insisted she’s a very private and “sensitive” person and prefers to stay away from social media.

She told Bustle: “It’s just not something that feels authentic or natural to me, and I don’t think I would have anything very impactful to add to social media.

“I’m a very sensitive person, so I think it’s also protective to not be online. I don’t think you’re supposed to be reading the things people are saying about you.

“I think that that’s not natural, and it’s not human to be looking at all of these very curated images.

“I have lots of thoughts about it, but I don’t think I’ve ever put it into words before. But I know myself, and I think keeping myself ignorant to that part of the Internet is probably healthier for me.”
