Kelsey Parker and her partner Will Lindsay have welcomed a baby girl into the world.
Kelsey Parker has given birth to a baby girl.
The 36-year-old beauty – who has daughter Aurelia, six, and son Bodhi, four, with late husband Tom Parker – and partner Will Lindsay have welcomed daughter River into the world, over a year after the couple’s son Phoenix was stillborn.
Kelsey shared a photo on Instagram on Sunday (20.09.26), which featured the tot’s arm underneath a sign bearing her name, and captioned the post: “Welcome to the world, River. Our little bit of hope.”
Just two days ago, Kelsey had reflected on her conflicting emotions as the end of her pregnancy drew near.
She wrote: “Waiting feels different when you’ve already lost something.
“It’s not just excitement.
“It’s hope and fear existing in the same place.
“It’s wanting to fast-forward to the moment they’re safely in your arms, while also trying not to wish away the chapter you’re in.
“This pregnancy has taught me that sometimes being positive doesn’t mean you’re not scared.
“Sometimes it means being scared… and still allowing yourself to believe that something beautiful is coming.
“So for now, I’m waiting.
“Holding onto hope.
“And taking it one day at a time.
“Stop waiting, start living has meant something completely different to me through this chapter. Sometimes living isn’t about rushing ahead it’s about finding the courage to be present while you wait. #stopwaitingstartliving #pregnancy #babyloss #grief”
Days before what would have been Phoenix’s first birthday in June, Kelsey reflected on how emotional she felt in the build-up to Father’s Day.
She wrote: “I’ve been really quiet on here the last couple of days.
“Truthfully, I’ve been working a lot, trying to keep busy and just processing the fact that Sunday is a big day.
“It’s Phoenix’s first anniversary, and it’s Father’s Day too.
“Grief is a strange thing. Some days you can keep going and stay busy, and other days it all catches up with you.
“I’m learning that both things can exist at once. I can feel excited about this next chapter of life, be grateful for everything I have, and still deeply miss my little boy and wish things had been different.
“If you’re navigating grief, anniversaries or simply carrying something heavy right now, please know you’re not alone.
“As always… stop waiting, start living. But also, give yourself permission to feel it all.”
Kelsey and Will announced in May they were expecting a “rainbow baby” – a term given for a child born after a family has experienced a stillbirth, pregnancy loss or infant death.
On May 31, she posted a video to Instagram, in which hands revealed the ultrasound, before Kelsey gently placed a white feather beside the image, symbolising spiritual comfort, with Tom and Phoenix giving her and Will “another little gift from heaven”.
Kelsey’s caption read: “A year ago next month, we lost our beautiful baby boy, Phoenix.
“And somehow, through all the heartbreak, it feels like Tom and Phoenix have sent us another little gift from heaven our little rainbow baby.”
