Wrestling star Ben ‘Pac’ Satterley, who appeared for WWE as Adrian Neville, died on Sunday (27.09.26) aged 40, just one day after his final match.
Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque has paid tribute to “extraordinary” wrestler Ben Satterley after his death.
The British star, who rose to fame as Adrian Neville in WWE before joining All Elite Wrestling (AEW) when it launched in 2019, died on Sunday (27.09.26) aged 40 with the entire industry left devastated by the news.
Triple H was in charge of WWE’s NXT brand when Neville held the show’s top championship.
Alongside a photo of them together at NXT Arrival in February 2014, he wrote: “Saddened to hear about the death of Ben Satterley known in
@WWE as Neville.
“I had the pleasure of working with Ben in the early days of @WWENXT.
“This moment, from NXT Arrival, marked the beginning of a new era for that brand and the men and women on it … and Ben was a major force behind that.
“He was an extraordinary talent and even kinder human being. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans across the world.”
In the main event of NXT Arrival, Neville defeated Bo Dallas in a Ladder Match for the NXT Championship, which he held for over 280 days until December 2014.
He is also a two-time NXT Tag Team Champion, while he held the WWE Cruiserweight Title on two separate occasions after being called up to Monday Night Raw.
He walked out of WWE in 2017 and was officially released from his contract the following year, and in 2019 he joined AEW as one of its first big signings.
There, he held the International and World Trios Championships, capturing the latter alongside Lucha Brothers, Penta and Fenix.
Satterley passed away on Sunday (27.09.26) just one day after his final match against Andrade El Idolo at AEW All Out in Chicago.
AEW announced his death in a statement, which read: “All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac.
“A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability.
“Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history.
“Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.”
Satterley’s cause of death is yet to be revealed.
