Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has shared a heartfelt tribute to late wrestler Benjamin Satterley, who appeared as Pac in AEW, and Neville in WWE.
Dwayne Johnson says the death of Benjamin Satterley “really f****** hurts”.
The 54-year-old star, who rose to fame as The Rock in WWE before moving into Hollywood, has paid an emotional tribute to the late wrestler better known as Neville and Pac after he died on Sunday (27.09.26) aged 40.
In a video shared on X and Instagram, Dwayne said: “Man, it hurts my heart to do this. I want to send out into the universe, and to the Satterley family, my love and my condolences, my support, my light, my mana, as you are enduring the loss of your loved one, Benjamin Satterley.”
Satterley rose to fame as Neville in WWE before joining All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in 2019 with the stage name Pac.
Dwayne added: “As global as professional wrestling is, as global as WWE is, as much as AEW is growing into this phenomenal wrestling company, and wherever you’re wrestling at around the world – Asia, Latin America, Europe – it doesn’t matter.
“As global as professional wrestling is, we’re still a very tight-knit unit and a tight-knit group because we all share the same DNA, and that is our love and our passion for the squared circle and to perform for audiences around the world.
“And we’re a little crazy, and that’s okay. but when we lose one of our own, it hurts. And when they’re young and so insanely talented, it really, it really f****** hurts.”
Dwayne, who is on the board of directors for WWE’s parent company TKO, sent a message of support for AEW boss Tony Khan, as well as everyone in both rival companies who knew Satterley.
He continued: “Let this heartbreaking loss inform us all, as all losses do when we lose people we love and care about – young, not young, family members, etc – let it guide and inform us on how we should live every day, in every moment.
“Try to be as present as we possibly can in every f****** thing we do, because you just never know what’s waiting around the corner.
“God bless you, Benjamin, and thank you for the memories, and thank you for entertaining the masses. And as I like to say, thank you for moving the crowd, and as we say in wrestling, thank you for the house. Satterley family, stay strong.”
As reported by TMZ, the Des Plaines Police Department have confirmed Satterley’s cause of death is still determined by the medical examiner.
Authorities told the outlet that his sudden death is not considered suspicious, with no signs of foul play.
The Cook County Medical Examiner previously confirmed that while an autopsy has been performed, additional tests could take a few weeks.
Satterley was found unresponsive inside a vehicle in the parking lot of a CAVA restaurant on Sunday (27.09.26) afternoon, and customers called 911 after spotting him.
Less than 24 hours earlier, Satterley – as Pac – wrestled Andrade El Idolo at AEW’s All Out event in Chicago.
