The 63-year-old talk show host was among the guests at the lavish nuptials at New York’s Madison Square Garden and revealed he was approached by the unidentified man, who he described as his “white whale”, referring to a dream guest for his eponymous programme who has never appeared.
Speaking on the Wanging On With Graham Norton and Maria McErlane podcast, he told his co-host about the “one big star” he chatted with.
He added: “But I can’t tell you who it was.
“Because I would have to tell you that they were at the wedding, and I don’t think I’ve seen their name anywhere. So I’m not sure if people know they were at the wedding.”
Graham offered two clues as to his mystery “white whale”, noting they were male and hadn’t appeared on his show, but he thinks they promised to do so in the future.
He added: “I’ll give you that. He came up and said, ‘Oh, uh, I’ve been meaning to come on your show.’”
But the presenter noted he was “quite drunk” so could have misremembered the conversation.
He joked: “So, he might have said, ‘I’m never coming on your f****** show.’ But my drunk brain went, ‘He’s talking to me!’”
A host of famous names have already been reported to have been at the wedding, including Steven Spielberg, Sir Paul McCartney, Tom Cruise, Emma Stone, Bradley Cooper, Selena Gomez and Stevie Nicks.
Graham has previously said his two “dream guests” for the show are Brad Pitt – who has spoken about being at Taylor and Travis’ wedding – and Leonardo DiCaprio.
The Heart of the Beast actor Brad recently hailed Taylor and Travis’ nuptials as “the wedding of the century” and revealed he had “great fun”, even though he “lost” his girlfriend Ines de Ramon at one point when they were on the dance floor.
Asked about reports the couple had been parted due to the no-phone rule at the wedding, Brad, 62, told Entertainment Tonight: “You mean the wedding of the century?
“Let me tell you, that was such an amazing night, I think we were there 10 hours, maybe 12.
“It was so thoughtful, and well-planned, and really moving, and great fun.
“But it was big, and yeah, at one point, I lost her in the melee, on the dance floor.”
Fortunately, Brad was reunited with the 33-year-old jewellery designer – who he has been dating since 2022 – shortly afterwards.
Asked how long he took to find her, he said: “Not long! Not long. There’s always someone to go, ‘She went that way.’”
