The former soccer starlatest Boss By Beckham collaboration has a “very British sensibility”, with relaxed silhouettes and heritage fabrics featuring strongly in the collection, which includes knitwear in wool, cashmere and alpaca, cotton and flannel shirts, and Italian fabric suits, as well as boots, trainers and accessories.
David said in a statement: “This collection is built around the way I like to dress at this time of the year. It’s understated yet considered, blending style and comfort.
“I’ve always loved beautiful knitwear and outerwear, which we have mixed with more tailoring. We’ve placed a real emphasis on exceptional fabrics and fits throughout.
“For me, confidence comes from clothes that feel as good as they look. There’s a very British sensibility running through the collection, from the richness of the fabrics to the balance of tailoring and relaxed pieces. It’s designed to work from the city to the countryside, with a timelessness that feels classic but also modern.”
David signed the deal with BOSS in 2024 and revealed he’s planning to spend more of his time focusing on fashion and design.
In a statement released at the time, he explained: “Over the last few years, I’ve been wanting to invest more time in design and fashion, but wanted to ensure I collaborated with a brand and team that could deliver something truly global and impactful.
“I’ve really enjoyed the collaboration with BOSS so far and have been impressed by the team’s ambition, creativity, and desire for excellence. “I look forward to sharing what we’ve been working on so far, including the Fall/Winter 2024 campaign as the first step in our long-term partnership.”
David has previously admitted his fashion designer wife Victoria Beckham is a “huge influence” on his “style” and makes sure he always looks good.
According to PEOPLE, he said: “She always gave me that confidence and, and she still does now, even after 27 years.
“She still gives me that confidence that, you know, wanting to look good and wanting to feel good.”
The former England captain confessed it’s a “problem” that his other half always “looks great” when asked if the former Spice Girl influences his style.
He said: “I’m not sure. I like to think I do, but I dare say the wrong thing. To be honest, she always looks good. It’s a good problem but it’s a problem. She always looks great. So it’s a pretty easy job for me.”
David also admitted he can’t get away with wearing anything his wife doesn’t like, adding: “She has a huge influence in my style. When I put something on, I know from her reaction whether I need to take it off or whether I need to keep it on.”
