Anne Hathaway’s attitude towards fame has “changed”.
The 43-year-old actress – who has starred in Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2, The Odyssey, The End of Oak Street, and Verity in 2026 – admits that her attitude towards fame has evolved over time.
Anne – who is currently promoting Verity, the new psychological erotic thriller film – said on CBS Mornings: “I do think I have changed.
“I do think when I show up to something like this — you know, the joke you made about ‘don’t freeze,’ ‘cause that can happen. I know this is a big deal, but it’s not everything, no offence. And so if I freeze on set, it’s not the end of the world.
“There’s a lot of people around who are there. And maybe they’re actually hoping that the best thing happens. So I think that I’ve chilled out, which I think was necessary. And I think I’m more open to the fun of it.”
Anne explained why her attitude has changed in recent years.
The actress said: “It’s actually just about the feeling and the connection that you have with other people. And I wish that I figured that out earlier in my life, but I’m so grateful that I did at all.”
Anne recently explained that she’s been on “an amazing journey” in 2026.
The actress – who announced her pregnancy in June – told Extra: “An amazing thing to realise is you can do so many things while completely exhausted.
“It’s just such an amazing journey where you discover what you’re made of, you know, and because it’s not just, like, depleting yourself in the name of something else. You actually get fed at the same time with so much joy and so much love.”
Anne feels grateful for where she’s currently at in her life and in her career.
The Hollywood star – who already has Jonathan, ten, and Jack, six, with husband Adam Shulman – said: “You do find yourself expanding. You find your patience expanding. You find your grace expanding for yourself, for others, and there’s just no way it hasn’t impacted and improved my life.”
