The Department of Homeland Security has rebuked Hayley Williams after she blasted ICE and voiced pro‑Palestinian support during her weekend concert.
Hayley Williams has been told not to “belittle” the “sacrifice” of America’s federal agents after she shouted “F*** ICE” at her recent concert.
The Paramore frontwoman was playing North Island Credit Union Amphitheater in California on Saturday (03.10.26) when she used a profanity to hit out at the country’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Hayley was performing her song Ice In My OJ at the time, and also called for a “Free motherf****** Palestine”.
Reacting to the protest, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security told Fox News Digital: “America is grateful all the time for our federal law enforcement officers who keep us safe.
“We suggest Ms. Williams to thank them for their service, not belittle their sacrifice.”
The Misery Business singer has been outspoken about her opinion of President Donald Trump and his policies in the past.
She also recently threw her support behind Macklemore and the other artists that departed Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour after the former gave a “Free Palestine” speech while supporting Ed in New Jersey.
She added all of the artists that followed Macklemore after he was dropped from the US leg of the run to her pre-show playlist at her Forest Hills Stadium gig in New York in September.
The playlist included Macklemore’s Can’t Hold Us and Thrift Shop, Lukas Graham’s Mama Said, For Cryin’ Out Loud by Finneas, Rowe’s The Lane, and Beoga’s Aurora II.
She also mocked Ed for his apolitical stance online. Writing as if she were him, she said: “Hey guys I’ve seen all the atrocities going on and I just want you to know I am keeping the conversation open by saying nothing.
“I am a role model (product) and it’s important that I don’t disappoint my young fans (investors and shareholders) by being political. My shows are something so much bigger than politics – they are commerce.”
Shape of You hitmaker Ed has insisted he’s “appalled” by the situation between Israel and Palestine.
