Ransom Canyon star Minka Kelly and Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds have ‘split’, according to reports.
Minka Kelly and Dan Reynolds have reportedly split after four years together.
A source told People that the 46-year-old actress and the 39-year-old Imagine Dragons frontman’s breakup “happened recently”.
In July, the Ransom Canyon star paid a gushing birthday tribute to Dan, whom she was introduced to by a mutual friend in 2022.
She penned on Instagram: “Thank you for making ordinary days feel extraordinary, for making me laugh until I can’t breathe, and for loving so deeply and so freely. Celebrating you is one of my favorite things to do.”
Dan helped Minka learn how to play the piano for the Netflix western series, Ransom Canyon.
Appearing on an April 2025 episode of NBC’s Today with Jenna and Friends, she explained: “He helped me a lot. Because at home he’d help me translate – I can’t read music – so he would show me how it’s done. …
“[I also] had a piano teacher in Albuquerque so I would just play [the songs] over and over and over again.”
Minka insisted she can still play the songs she “had to learn for the show”.
In April 2025, the entertainer admitted Dan got a small part in the show after coming to visit her on set, telling People: “He came to visit and everyone, all the producers and writers, just naturally fell in love with him, like you do. It’s easy to love Dan.
“They just asked one day, ‘Do you think he’d play this character?’ And I just was like, ‘Let me ask him’. And he was such a good sport and down to play.”
Dan previously said that he and Minka, who were first spotted having dinner together in Los Angeles in 2022, were brought “a lot closer” after she shared her deepest vulnerabilities with him and vice versa.
The Radioactive hitmaker got to know everything about his partner’s past when they were long-distance, as she decided to share her memoir, Tell Me Everything, with him, which saw her open up on her painful childhood, homelessness, and abortion.
Speaking to People in July 2023, Dan shared: “She’s like, ‘Well, if you’re going to share your art, I can share something with you, but it’s very vulnerable for me. Do you want to do this or not?’
“She was very scared for me to read the book because we hadn’t met, just as much as I was scared for her to hear a song that I’d written.
“But we shared it, and then it ended up being a really beautiful thing and brought us a lot closer. I think it helped us both kind of understand each other on a deeper level quite quickly.”
Dan admits it was a “really strange” way for them to meet and get to know each other.
The Believer artist said: “I was hearing all her life stories from youth to now, and she had a really hard, colourful, beautiful life.
“Getting to read it all before you even meet somebody… I’ve never had that kind of introduction to someone.”
Minka previously dated comedian-and-writer Trevor Noah, 42, from August 2020 until May 2022.
Dan was married to Nico Vega frontwoman Aja Volkman, 46, from 2011 until 2024, and they have daughters Arrow, 14, Gia, and Coco, nine, and seven-year-old son Valentine.
