Lily Allen has an X-rated way of relaxing after a concert.
Lily Allen has confessed to playing with sex toys to “relax and unwind” after concerts.
The Pussy Palace singer has joined forces with adult brand Lovehoney again on her own collection inspired by the track from her latest album West End Girl.
Promoting the products, she said: “The [West End Girl] tour was the perfect time to decide on the collection because when I had a little downtime, it was a nice way to relax and unwind.
“Everything with my Love, Lily stamp of approval has been tried and tested.”
Lily – who previously released her own vibrator with Lovehoney and Womanizer – said the toys “help you to better understand your body and learn what you like.”
The line includes five toys and an advent calendar.
Lily says there is “no shame” in masturbation, calling it an act of “self-care.”
She said: “There are so many physical and emotional benefits in exploring ourselves, for ourselves – it’s not a selfish thing to do. It’s self-care – there’s no shame in it. Why should we deny ourselves enjoyment and the confidence that can come from that?”
The Smile singer added: “I did my first collaboration with Lovehoney six years ago, which came about very organically because I had written about my experience in my book. We sent a whole bunch of toys out to people I know and admire and I still get messages today saying you’ve had such a profound impact on my life. Instinctively, I think they’re going to be talking about my music but they’re actually talking about the toys.”
Lily actually released West End Girl on a sex toy-shaped USB earlier this year.
On Pussy Palace, the Madeline singer sings about an ex-lover’s “sex toys, butt plugs, lube [and] hundreds of Trojans“. And, she left jaws dropped with a butt plug-shaped edition of her acclaimed No.2 album, sold for £24.99 on her official store.
The listing came with a warning with a knowing wink: “Note: This product is a novelty USB device intended for data storage only.”
Meanwhile, Lily has just been forced to cancel her Auckland gig with hours to go due to a “viral infection”.
The 41-year-old singer apologised to fans after scrapping her first show in the country since 2019, which was set to take place on Tuesday (20.10.26).
She wrote on her Instagram Story: “To my West End Girls in Auckland, I am so sorry to have to tell you that I have come down with a viral infection and am unable to perform tonight.
“I was really looking forward to seeing you all and am absolutely gutted to be letting you down.
“For those who have traveled all the way here, please accept my apology.”
She noted that “all tickets will be refunded,” and she’s hoping “to be able to come back to see you soon”.
Lily added: “Thank you so much for understanding.”
