Joseph Quinn has revealed “comfort” and feeling “great” is what he looks for in a red carpet outfit.
Joseph Quinn looks for “aesthetics and comfort” in his red carpet attire.
The ‘Gladiator II’ star recently got suited and booted by Prada at the London premiere of the sequel to the 2000 blockbuster and has spilled what he looks for in an outfit when he’s attending glamorous events.
He told GQ: “Aesthetics and comfort have always been important to me. But if it looks great and it feels great too, that’s always a bonus.”
The ‘Stranger Things’ star was “honoured” to work with Prada on his ensemble of a custom Italian leather blazer, a silk shirt, a pair of matching black mohair trousers and Chelsea boots, noting it’s a “house that I’ve always admired”.
The 30-year-old actor also revealed that it took “numerous fittings” to come up with the wardrobe for his dark and villainous character Emperor Geta.
He said: “Myself and [costume designer] Janty Yates have been collaborating on this for a while, and we did numerous fittings to kind of come up with these eccentric and opulent looks. Finding the wardrobe for these two psychotic lunatics was a wonderful experience. Because obviously mine and [Fred Hechinger’s] wardrobes had to complement each other, but they also had to have their own distinct kind of flavour.”
After a brief pause, he quipped: “Hm, now that I think about it, it would be pretty awkward if he’s wearing the same thing as me tonight.”
